Bearak, J., Popinchalk, A., Ganatra, B., Moller, A.-B., Tunçalp, Ö., Beavin, C., Kwok, L. & Alkema, L. (2020). Unintended pregnancy and abortion by income, region, and the legal status of abortion: estimates from a comprehensive model for 19902019. The Lancet Global Health, 8(9), e1152-e1161.

This source is a research paper on the statistics of unintended pregnancies and abortion, and their relationship with income and other demographic features. The aim was to create a new statistical model that can be helpful in global health research and implementation of policies. The researchers found the number of unintended pregnancies globally, and the percentage of those that resulted in abortion, and compared the data to income groups using World Bank data. This paper is useful for my research as it provides concrete statistics on abortion and the demographic of the people involved.
