The problem of high turnover rates has grown especially large in the healthcare context, where the amount of work, the range of requirements, and the emotional labor often do not match the provided benefits. Therefore, tools for increasing the human capital based on a motivational approach have to be introduced into the modern healthcare environment. With the emphasis on the emotional connection to a patient along with the inclusion of extra financial incentives, one will be able to address the problem of high turnover and low retention in modern nursing.

For this purpose, one may recommend the framework based on a combination of incentives and empathy-driven communication. Although providing staff members with financial rewards and opportunities for professional growth is central to the rise in their motivation levels, it is also imperative to build their ability to engage emotionally with patients (Liu et al., 2018). As the Scripture says, For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast (Jeremiah 30:17, ESV). It is crucial to teach staff members to focus both on emotional and physical needs of patients in order to create additional opportunities for faster recovery.

The proposed change to the nursing setting will have to be conducted under the guidance of a strong leader capable of changing the perception of nurses and providing them with an opportunity for professional growth. The development of empathy and other skills needed for building a rapport with patients will offer nurses a chance at an increased engagement with their job and responsibilities. Coupled with financial incentives, the proposed solution is expected to address the problem of high turnover rates in the nursing setting. Namely, the introduction of emotion-driven attitudes along with additional benefits will lead to the rapid development of motivation and enthusiasm in nurses, causing the current high turnover rates to drop.
