The performance Since U Been Gone is a show that speaks about several controversial questions that still can raise heated discussions even in 2020. The title is a reference to a pop song Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, the use of which can also be interpreted as symbolism. After all, the song came out in 2002; for some people, it is nostalgic and can bring flashbacks from twenty years ago. In the show, Teddy Lamb also reflects on memories of events that were spent with a close friend, who is now gone.

The show was performed in 2019; however, it was uploaded on YouTube on 17 March 2020 since the artist was unable to host an event because of the pandemic. The stage is small and cluttered; the lighting is dim and mostly focuses on Lamb, who is the only actor of this show, except for the guitarist on the background. He tells the story in the form of an hour-long monologue about different events that feature themes of gender stereotypes, depression, and grief of losing someone.

It would be difficult to define a particular genre because it features tragic elements as well as comedy. The actor uses humor and irony to talk about serious topics. He talks about the picture of them and their friend, and one of them is no longer in the running towards becoming Americas Next Top Model (Lamb, 2020). While the line may sound ridiculous, it actually expresses the sadness of the main character who regrets that their friend cannot accomplish dreams because they took their own life. The actor is also quite expressive; at some point, Lamb changes into a dress and talks about how they have a wardrobe of beautiful dresses and skirts. However, he cannot yet put them on because nowadays trans people are still at a high risk of being violated and murdered. The audience is expected to sympathize and be compassionate to the main character and his friend. There are no fictional worlds or events; every little story is relatable and can resonate with the viewer.
