A new manager’s playbook serves as a comprehensive guide to help newly hired managers navigate their roles effectively. Playbooks can be established for any management function and outline strategies to navigate various situations and challenges encountered in the role.
Scenario
You are a newly hired manager responsible for a team of recruiters at a medium-sized Staffing Firm. This is your first experience as a manager, and you want to ensure a smooth transition, success in your new role, and continuity of operations for the members of your team. Your team consists of five recruiters with varying levels of experience who are responsible for recruiting and presenting qualified candidates to the staffing firms’ external customers. To ensure your team’s success and alignment with the company’s goals, you will develop a new manager’s playbook that outlines the management strategies you will use in your role.

In this assignment, you will create a complete New Manager Playbook. First, you will copy and paste the work you completed for Assignments 1 and 2 (Part 1 and 2 of the New Manager Playbook) into the New Manager Playbook template Download New Manager Playbook template, incorporating any feedback you received from your instructor. Then, you will complete Parts 3 and 4 of the New Manager Playbook template to finalize your playbook.
Part 3: Measuring and Monitoring Performance
Describe how you will monitor the performance of your team and provide at least two examples of tools you will use to monitor performance. Provide a rationale for your response.
