INSTRUCTIONS: Criterion Feedback
Hi ,
I have reviewed your resubmission. Before resubmitting this assessment again let’s schedule a 1-1 meeting to discuss this assessment to ensure your success for your next submission.
Professor
Hi ,
You are off to a good start with this assessment. This assessment is a bit chunky and has more specifics that are needed in order to meet the requirements for the assessment. Please see below and let me know if you want to meet 1-1 to discuss this in more detail:
Observation and Analysis (Part 1 and 2)
Observation Records
Evidence of your running record observations are needed. Running records should reflect 3-5 separate 30 minute observation periods
Analysis of Observation
This can be done by completing the “Analysis of Observed Approaches to Learning and Social Interactions” Chart. The chart can also be downloaded from the sub-competency (Module 5 Lesson 1 Activity 1)) (See the “Approaches to Learning” section in the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines)
Description of two children’s temperament
You have provided good details to support this requirement
Summary Paragraph
Provide an explanation of how the approaches to learning (in the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines) and temperament can influence each child’s play and interactions with the physical and social world
Plan for Implementing Learning Experiences (Part 3)
Complete the chart “plan for implementing learning experiences”. Using your observational notes from part 1 for each child.
Column 1 Observed behaviors indicating levels of development: provide descriptive observation details to support learning approach(es) and descriptive observation details to support peer interactions
Column 2 Trajectory (Standard/Indicator): Provide the specific standard and indicators that support the observational details provided in column 1 (see the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines)
Chart at bottom: provide learning experiences to support the learning approaches and peer interactions for each child
Develop Supportive Responses (Part 4)
This can be completed using the chart titled, “developing responsive interactions” in the sub-competency (Module 5 Lesson 3 Activity 1)
Implementation and Reflection (Part 5, 6 and 7)
Implement the planned learning experience using the responsive, supportive interactions you developed in part 3
Based on your experience from part 4 reflect on the following questions:
Identify which components of the planned/implemented experience went as you expected and whether it was effective. Explain why you think it was effective.
Identify which components of the planned/implemented experience did not go as you expected. Explain why you think it was not effective
Explain how you might plan and/or implement the experience differently if you were to implement it again
Describe any patterns in the approaches to learning or adult and peer interactions and relationships that you observed in the children’s behaviors.
Again, I know this assessment is a bit unclear. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you need any additional/support with completing this assessment.
Professor
