Being an educator is an important task, as it provides an exciting opportunity to influence others and share valuable knowledge. I believe that a good teacher should become a role model and a mentor for the students, thus impacting their future life, beliefs, and values positively. As an educator, I seek to not only teach students about a particular subject but also to address some of the pressing social issues by sharing my experience and encouraging students to be more open-minded and inquisitive.

One of the most critical values that I want to translate into my teaching practice is diversity. In a globalized world, people from different nations interact and cooperate in all areas of life, including education. American schools and colleges provide education to students from a great variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to African American, Native American, and Asian American. As racial inequality still exists in our society, it is essential to ensure that classrooms are a safe and supportive environment for students from different backgrounds to interact and learn cooperatively.

In promoting diversity, it is also critical to ensure that all students are treated equally and given equal opportunities to excel in their learning. As a teacher, I can help to achieve this goal by encouraging positive school policies and treating my students and colleagues with respect and care. I will also seek to provide students who are struggling with specific topics with additional help and advice in order to ensure that they benefit from learning in the same way that other students do.

Another important issue that I want to address in my career as an educator is inclusivity. It is essential for teachers to acknowledge individual differences between students that affect their learning and behavior in class. Personally, I believe that every teacher can promote inclusion by facilitating discussion and providing active learning opportunities for students. Teachers should support students in voicing their questions or opinions about specific topics to ensure that all students engage in the learning process. Inclusion is also an excellent way for students to develop better critical thinking skills. A lively discussion where students voice their thoughts openly creates a space for a plurality of opinions, which enables students to look at one idea or situation from a variety of perspectives. I believe that critical thinking and open-mindedness, promoted by such discussions, will benefit students in future work and study by allowing them to consider multiple viewpoints and solutions.

Moreover, I believe that learning is a collaborative process that requires building a connection with students. To me, teaching is not simply a process of delivering information, but a way of engaging in a dialogue with students and allowing them to gain meaningful knowledge that they will be able to apply in their future life. To build a connection with every student in the class, it is essential to encourage students to share their opinions and experiences as part of presentations, assignments, or in-class discussions. For instance, when analyzing a particular concept or case, it would be useful to ask students whether or not it can be applied to their work or academic career.

Overall, I believe that my teaching philosophy would allow me to create a positive in-class environment for students to learn and grow. In my work as an educator, I will also seek to promote positive school policies that would allow for equality of opportunity for students of all backgrounds. I hope that my approach to teaching will be beneficial for students, allowing them to reach their personal and academic goals, as well as develop valuable skills for future work and learning.
