The details of the pregnancy and birth history are instrumental in defining the possible health risks of the child. For instance, the pediatrician or the preschool healthcare professional may understand whether the child is at risk of developing vascular disorders based on the childs birth weight or previous congenital malformations. To avoid numerous negative outcomes for herself and their future child, pregnant women should have regular check-ups and follow all recommendations given by prenatal care professionals. Prenatal care aims at increasing females well-being before, during, and after pregnancy, reducing mortality, fetal loss, as well as health risk related to delivery and pregnancy (Klima, 2018). Prenatal care also improves the infants health outcomes and reduces anomalies development. This type of care also provides women with the skills necessary to provide proper care to children and ensure their development and well-being minimizing the risk of abuse and neglect.

It has been acknowledged that the development of early social bonds with mothers is important for their childrens further development and mental health (Winston & Chicot, 2016). The children of mothers who stay at home during the first years after the childs birth develop healthy attachment patterns, which is essential for their attachment-related behaviors in the future. Research also suggests that childrens emotional, cognitive, and social development is associated with the time the child spends with their mother (Winston & Chicot, 2016). To ensure the best developmental outcomes for their children, women should try to invest as much time as possible in caring for them. Healthcare professionals (especially prenatal care providers) can assist parents in developing the necessary skills and acquiring the necessary knowledge to ensure proper bonding with their children.

These days the vaccination controversy has gained momentum due to the COVID crisis. At a certain point in my life, I had to decide whether a child needs vaccines. To answer this question, I had to implement research regarding the statistics related to vaccines with a focus on potential harm. I also collected data regarding the benefits of vaccination for the child and public health. Based on this research, I decided that children should be vaccinated, which will improve the quality of their life. I would make the same choice as I believe it is the right thing to do.
