During my visit to the lower east side museum, I was privileged to see various things that fulfilled my purpose for the visit. First and foremost, I was taken around the New York City tenement building. Under normal circumstances, visitors are only taken around the building by tour guides. This is a very historic site and it means a lot to have a chance to see the place. I came to learn that many visitors visit this place daily. Throughout the visit, I managed to access the place which was home to the 7000 people who originated from over 20 countries. The place was their home between the period between 1863 and 1935. The building is five-story and s made of bricks, it is historical and there is a lot of historical information in the building. The most outstanding aspect of the building is that the museum was predominantly made to cater to historical aspects of immigration. The essence was the enhancement of tolerance and understanding of immigration. I saw restored apartments which have been put there to symbolize the lives and experiences of immigrants. The immigrants are said to have inhabited this place during the period between 1869 and 1935. This has a lot of significance to the history of America. The aspect of immigration is of great relevance to the history of American society.

The environment is so attractive to the exited that before you visit the real museum you already have a feeling of excitement. I had a lot of fun during my visit, I liked the environment. The museum can be traced from the east to East River Park. It borders the north via Houston street and the south via canal street and east broadway. Apart from this the neighboring environment also has several facilities necessary for several uses. There are apartments and properties to let and utility. Most of these buildings have been renovated for purposes that go beyond their use. Their design represents the lifestyle and culture of the immigrants who occupied the place in the years prior. Several schools operate in the neighborhood. These are necessary for education but also have a lot of relevance to history.

As much as the museum is located in New York City and depicts the history of the events that took place in the city, its significance and relevance go beyond the city and its civilization. The museum is all about the immigrant who occupied the location in the previous years. The tenement building was built to represent the settlement of immigrants in the 97 Orchard streets between the years 1869-1935.
