Students must pick any aspect of consumer culture and relationship marketing: favourite concept/unfamiliar concept/something experienced as a customer etc. you’ll develop ideas as the module develops.
Ideas include: loyalty, brands, brand fanatics, brand relationships, rituals, leisure activities, communities, inequalities, sustainability, ethics, advertising, markets, festivals, food halls, technology etc any phenomenon or aspect of consumer culture you find interesting or wish to explore. I will give more local ideas in class also.
Represent the aspect of consumer culture chosen using a photo-essay
A series of photographs accompanied with theoretical narrative derived from readings and relationship with the visual images
Requirement: 10-20 photos, and 1,000 words
Correct APA style academic referencing necessary
Students may choose any style or format: chronological, captioned, thematic, documentary, comedy, poetry, satire
Examples of creative work will be provided as the module develops (see canvas)
